Come chill with the most sizzling BBQ competition teams in the southeast and the hottest bluegrass in the nation!  Join us in the cool Blue Ridge Mountains for the 2nd annual  Spruce Pine BBQ Championship & Bluegrass Festival in Downtown Spruce Pine, North Carolina on July 19 & 20, 2013.
 
The event features a sanctioned professional BBQ competition, live bluegrass, award winning mouth watering BBQ from multiple vendors, jamming stage, a cornhole tournament, championship clogging teams, artists & crafts vendors, BBQ equipment and supplies vendors, local food vendors, the Spruce Pine Skedaddle 5K and Fun Run, a kids play-area, and much, much more!
 
The Spruce Pine BBQ Championship & Bluegrass Festival is hosted by Spruce Pine Main Street and the Rotary Club of Spruce Pine, and is sanctioned by the Southern BBQ Network.
 
Note: Due to health department regulations, pets will not be allowed at the festival.
 
The Mitchell County Public Transportation Authority will be running continuous FREE shuttle service from locations in and around Spruce Pine for the festival. The FREE service will start 1 hour before opening time and continue until 1 hour after closing time both days of the Festival. FREE parking can be found by following the "Festival Parking" signs located at important intersections around town.

Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs for the performances.
 
DARIN & BROOKE ALDRIDGE will be the headline act on
Friday evening, and BALSAM RANGE, Winner of the IBMA Song of the Year
in 2011 for “Trains I Missed", will be back by popular demand to
perform Saturday evening on the Festival Stage!

STREET PERFORMERS WELCOMED!There will again be a small stage in the Riverside Park for jam sessions. Contact us to reserve free admission wrist bands for performers.
